You can update your Aadhaar from Myaadhaar portal sitting at home, update your Aadhaar for free before 14 June

If you are delaying updating your Aadhaar details, the time has come now. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is providing free online updates by 14 June 2025. After that, you have to pay a minor fee of Rs 50 for any change. You can update your base through the Myaadhaar portal sitting at your home without going to any center – but only for selected demographic details. And according to the rules of UIDAI, you have to update your identity (POI) and address (POA) of your identity every 10 years.

What can you update online for free?
Through the portal, you can update the following information without any fee:
Name (within some varna limits) – date of birth – address – Gender – Language Preferences Note:
Biometric data – such as fingers, iris scans and photos

You can detect the nearest center by entering your PIN code on the UIDAI website.
