Wearing suit-salwar in Delhi stops entry in restaurant, government took cognizance

If you are in suit-salwar, you will not get entry in the restaurant! A very shocking case has come to light in Delhi. A couple alleges that they were barred from entering a restaurant in Pitampura due to being in suit-salwar and pants t-shirt. After the viral video on social media, the Delhi government took cognizance of the incident and ordered an inquiry.

Delhi Law and Culture Minister Kapil Mishra said on X that it is unacceptable. He said that the Chief Minister has ordered an inquiry into the incident. He said, ‘This is unacceptable in Delhi. A video of the ban on Indian costumes has surfaced in a restaurant in Pitampura. this is unacceptable. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has taken serious cognizance of the incident. Officials have been directed to investigate the incident and immediate action.

In the video going viral on X, a couple is standing outside the restaurant and telling that the incident happened to them on 3 August. Couple says that they were not allowed to go to the restaurant because of their clothes. He claimed that only small clothes were being admitted to the restaurant and they were told that it was not allowed to go into an ethnic dress.

Outside the restaurant, when the couple was making this allegation, a person makes a video of this and says that such restaurants should be banned where only small clothes are allowed to go. The video raises the question that the President and the Chief Minister of Delhi are still women, if they come, they will not be given entry.
