Three new Vande Bharat Express missed from Bengaluru, PM Modi showed green signal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday flagged off three more Vande Bharat Express train from Bengaluru. He himself flagged off the much awaited Bengaluru-Belgavi, while Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Amritsar and Ajni (Nagpur) started the Vande Bharat Services from Pune through digital. On this special occasion, the PM was present with Karnataka Governor Thawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and others.

Earlier, when Prime Minister Modi moved towards the railway station with his convoy, a large number of people gathered on both sides of the road welcomed him by raising slogans of “Modi, Modi”. Prime Minister Modi also greeted him by shook his hand inside his car. After this, PM Modi reached the station and flagged off the train. Later Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated the Yellow Line of Bangalore Metro. In this, he also traveled with all the leaders including the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister.

Talking about these three Vande Bharat services, railway officials said that these new Vande Bharat trains will strengthen connectivity among the people and will provide travelers of world -class travel experience.

It is worth noting that this Vande Bharat Express running from Bengaluru to Belagavi is the 11th Vande Bharat train operating in Karnataka. According to railway officials, after its start, a distance of 611 km can be covered in just 8.5 hours. This is the fastest train between these two cities, compared to the existing train services, KSR (Krantiveer Sangoli Ryan) will save about one hour 20 minutes from Bengaluru to Belagavi and one hour 40 minutes from Belgavi-KSR Bengaluru.

He said that this train connects India’s ‘Silicon City’ Bengaluru to Belgavi, the center of the major medical and engineering institutes, promoting economic and educational opportunities in the region. This route passes through the rich sugarcane region of Karnataka and major cities like Dharwad, Hubli, Haaveri, Davangere and Tumkuru. Dharwad is famous for its prestigious educational institutions, while Hubli is a better industrial sector, while Haweeri is an emerging agricultural center and Davangere is famous for textiles and agriculture and Tumkuru is a growing industrial and educational center.
