Bhopal
The scope of fraud in the police constable recruitment examination in Madhya Pradesh is constantly increasing. So far, a total of 29 FIRs have been registered in nine districts of the state in this case and more than 65 people have been accused. In view of the possibility of widespread disturbances in the recruitment process, the police headquarters is now seriously considering handing over the investigation to the Special Task Force (STF).
Doubt of organized gang active in fraud
According to the facts that have been revealed in the investigation so far, an organized network was working behind this fraud. Most of the main accused have been associated with Gwalior-Chambal zone, who had been in touch with Salvars (person appearing for another) for a long time. Police have arrested two Salvars of Bihar, while the search for others is going on. From the physical efficiency test to the written examination, criminals fraudulently committed a planned manner.
Handing up to STF may bust the network
Police sources believe that if the matter is handed over to the STF, then the investigation of the organized gang will be possible. At present, the police of nine districts are investigating the case, but in view of the methods of uniform crime and the network of accused spread across the state, it has become necessary that the investigation be given to a particular agency. However, the final decision will be taken by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.
New FIR being recorded every two days
The situation is that a new FIR is being lodged every one or two days. In this recruitment examination held in the year 2023, the examination was conducted for a total of 7411 posts, out of which the result of 6423 posts was released keeping 13 percent posts on hold due to OBC reservation. Out of these, about six thousand selected candidates have also joined the post, due to which the challenge has also been raised in front of the government about the validity of their appointment.
Congress raised demand for CBI inquiry
Opposition has also become active in this case. The Congress party has demanded a CBI inquiry into the fraud. The opposition says that the government has failed to bring transparency in the examination system and now it has become necessary that the central agency goes to the bottom of the whole matter and bring the culprits to the fore.
