French President Emmanuel Macron said that he and Prime Minister Narendra Modi would try for ‘technical sovereignty’. His statement came before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to France. PM Modi will attend the AI summit in Paris. In an interview to a website, Macron said, “I think we also firmly believe that India and France are two great powers and we have special relations. We respect America and want to work with it, we want to work with China too, but do not want to depend on anyone.”
The French President said, “India and France are pioneers but America and China are far ahead of us. We want to work together on AI. PM Modi also wants to take advantage of new technology. But he wants it to be in India too.”
Macron praised India and said that India prepares 10 lakh engineers every year which is more than Europe and America. Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for France and America tour on Monday. In the first phase of the yatra, PM Modi will stay in France from 10 February (Monday) to 12 February. He will reach Paris on 10 February. In the evening, President Macron will attend the Dinner organized in honor of the government and the heads of the state at Elisi Palace.
Many dignitaries invited to many CEOs in the technical field and the summit are also likely to attend the dinner. According to media reports, on 11 February the next day, Prime Minister Modi will co-preside with the AI Action Summit with President Macron.
On February 12, the two leaders will visit the city of Marsile and inaugurate the Indian Consulate there. After this, both of them will also visit the Mazargues War Cemetry in Marsile and will pay tribute to the Indian soldiers who were martyred in the First World War. The War Cemetry has been built by the Commonwealth War Grave Commission.
PM Modi will go to America on a two -day work journey from 12 to 14 February. During this visit, he will hold a bilateral meeting with President Donald Trump. He will interact with business leaders and members of the Indian community.
