The capital of Madhya Pradesh has got the title of the cleanest capital of the country, in many cases Bhopal is at the top in the country, but Bhopal is the most backward not only in the country but also in Madhya Pradesh in terms of fertility rate. While the fertility rate of Madhya Pradesh is 2.8, the average fertility rate of the country is 2.3 to 0.5 higher. At the same time, Bhopal’s fertility rate is 2.0, that is, two children per woman are born here.

According to the National Family Health Survey 2019-2021 report, “Bhopal is decreasing rapidly in Bhopal. In the state, Bhopal is at the lowest rank in this case. While the districts with the highest fertility are Panna. There is TFR 4.1. Similarly, Shivpuri has 4.1 of Shivpuri.

Bhopal rate lower than ideal fertility rate
Explain that the fertility rate i.e. total fertility rate means children born on one thousand women per thousand women in an area. This simply means how many children in the respective fields give birth to how many children. Based on this, the population of the future is estimated.
TRF 2.1 is an ideal fertility rate in India, but Bhopal is also behind it. Although this is not the first time, the TFR of Bhopal was also 2.1 in the Family Health Survey conducted before it.
The number of Bajurg will be the highest by the year 2047
The number of elderly people will increase rapidly due to low fertility rate in Madhya Pradesh. According to the latest data of the Ministry of Health and Family Kalyan, Government of India, the population of youths between 20 to 29 years is currently 1 crore 54 lakhs, but by the coming year i.e. by the year 2047, the youth population will start decreasing rather than increasing.
District wise fertility rate
In contrast, where the number of elderly people above 60 years of age is close to 57 lakhs, it will increase by 2045 to more than 1 crore 80 lakhs. That is, after 23 years, most of the population of Madhya Pradesh will be elderly.
The fertility rate reduced in these districts of Madhya Pradesh
If the Family Health Survey 2011-12 and 2019-21 report, there are many other districts in Madhya Pradesh in Bhopal, where the fertility rate is decreasing rapidly, but it is higher than the ideal fertility rate. In these, TFR is decreasing rapidly in Panna, Shivpuri, Barwani, Vidisha and Chhatarpur districts.
While partial decline has been recorded in other districts. However, in these 10 years, Rewa, Sidhi, Shajapur, Seoni, Dhar and Sheopur are districts where there has been no change in TFR.
This is why rapid decreasing fertility rate in Bhopal
Nodal officer Dr. Rachna Dubey said that “The fertility rate is higher in rural areas than in urban areas in Madhya Pradesh. The reason is the lack of arrangements like awareness and family planning. Dr. Rachna Dubey said that in a city like Bhopal, there is a large work on family planning in a city like Bhopal.
People here are more aware about sterilization. But there are misconceptions about sterilization in rural areas, due to which many times people do not resort to family planning. ”
