Gwalior
SSP Dharamvir Singh Yadav has done big surgery to create better policing and transparency in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. 829 employees deployed in different police stations and circles of the district have been transferred for a long time. Many of these policemen were such, who had been in the police station for more than 4 years. There were also some such people who were sitting in the same place for the last 10 years.
829 transfer from constable to SI
The transfer list issued by the order of Gwalior SSP has a total of 829 policemen, who are posted in different police station areas of the district. The list has 13 SIs (Sub Inspectors), 43 ASIs (Assistant Sub Inspectors), 209 Principal constables and 563 constables.
Transfers were necessary for better policing
The transfer of so many policemen in a district together is shocking. However, on this, Gwalior SSP Dharamvir Singh Yadav said, “This transfer process has been done entirely under the rules. Its main objective is to improve policing. Staying in one place for a long time not only raises questions on the fairness of the personnel, but the police behavior and crime control also declines.” He has clarified that this process will continue even further and whatever policemen will be found posted at one place against the rules for a long time. Action will also be taken against them.
DGP’s instructions were followed
According to the SSP, “State DGP Kailash Makwana had issued instructions to all the districts that necessary steps should be taken to ensure fairness and accountability in the police department. In Gwalior district, this order has been transferred strictly following this order.” There has been a stir in the police department on such a large scale, the policemen who have been transferred. They have also been ordered to report on new posting soon.
