NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar on Saturday made a big claim about the assembly elections in Maharashtra. He said that two persons had met him in New Delhi before the 2024 Maharashtra assembly elections. He guaranteed the victory of the opposition in 160 of the 288 constituencies. Addressing reporters in Nagpur, Pawar said that he introduced both persons to the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi. Sharad Pawar has disclosed this at a time when Rahul has accused the BJP and the Election Commission of vote theft.

The former Union Minister claimed, ‘Two people met me in New Delhi before the 2024 assembly elections in Maharashtra. He guaranteed the opposition (Maha Vikas Aghadi) to help win 160 out of 288 seats. The NCP (SP) chief said, ‘I introduced him to Rahul Gandhi. He ignored whatever they said by both those persons. He also believed that we should not fall into such matters and should go directly to the public.

BJP won 132 seats in assembly elections
Sharad Pawar claimed that since both the persons said, he did not pay much attention to him. So they did not name him and contact details. It is known that the BJP won 132 seats in the assembly elections, while its ally Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) won 57 and 41 constituencies respectively. Opposition coalition ‘Maha Vikas Aghadi’ blamed EVMs and tampering in data for its defeat. Maha Vikas Aghadi won 30 of the 48 Lok Sabha seats in the state in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
