New Delhi
Indian Air Force (IAF) chief Air Chief Marshal (ACM) AP Singh has made a big claim. He said that India’s S-400 missile system has killed 5 Pakistani Air Force (PAF) fighter aircraft during recent operation vermilion.
Apart from this, an airborne early warning and control/electronic intelligence (AEW & C/Elint) aircraft was also destroyed from a distance of 300 km. Also, he also informed that some F-16 aircraft standing in Jacababad and an AEW & C on Bholari Air Base were destroyed on the basis of reliable intelligence.
S-400 strength in Operation Sindoor
According to ACM AP Singh, India used S-400 to strengthen its air defense during Operation Sindoor. It is an advanced surface -to -air missile system purchased from Russia, which can destroy targets up to 400 kilometers.
In this operation, the S-400 performed brilliantly and killed 5 Pakistani fighter jets in the air. The most surprising thing is that an Awe & C/Elint aircraft was targeted from a distance of 300 km, which reflects the range and accuracy of this system. The AEW & C aircraft is used to monitor the activities of the enemy and gather intelligence. Therefore, its destruction can be a big shock for Pakistan.
Attack on Jakebabad and Bholari
The IAF chief also claimed that some F-16 fighter aircraft standing on the Jakebabad Air Base were destroyed. These aircraft were in parking, but on the basis of accurate intelligence information, the Indian Army attacked him. Similarly, another AEW & C aircraft were targeted at Bholari Air Base. These attacks show that India had accurate knowledge of enemy activities. It was used at the right time.
What was Operation Sindoor?
Operation Sindoor was part of a small but acute military encounter between India and Pakistan in May 2025. During this time, India took several steps to prove their aerial superiority. Pakistan’s strategic bases were targeted using weapons like S-400 and BrahMos missiles. This operation has brought India’s capacity of air defense and accurate attack to the world.
Role and future of S-400
S-400 was bought by India in a $ 5.4 billion deal from Russia. This system is proving to be a game changer for India’s air security. This missile system can track and target 80 goals together, which makes it dangerous for the enemy.
Its success in Operation Sindoor has helped India to maintain air domination in the region. It is now discussed that India and S-400 units can be purchased. Also plans to take the next generation S-500 system, which can kill targets up to 600 km.
Impact on Pakistan
This damage to the Pakistani Air Force may deepen. The destruction of valuable resources like F-16 and AEW & C will weaken their aerial strength. Especially the AEW & C aircraft, which was part of their monitoring and strategy, is a big shock. With this, Pakistan may have to think again on its aerial defense.
What to say?
ACM AP Singh’s statement is a demonstration of India’s military strength and strategy. However, these claims are yet to be confirmed independent, but if it is true, it will take India’s aerial power to new heights. On the other hand, there is a possibility of increasing tension with Pakistan, as such attacks can affect regional peace.
