Every possible step in the interest of the country!
On which India said in direct words without any retaliation that all possible action will be taken in the interest of the country. At the same time, a government official had said that India will respond to America’s tariff on the negotiation table. What does America want?
America is imposing tariffs to increase excess pressure on India. He wants India to deal with its agriculture and dairy sectors soon, but India is not ready to agree on it. India says that under any circumstances it cannot open its agriculture and dairy sectors to America.
The US is opening markets from India to open markets for its agriculture and dairy products, especially (non-veg milk) and genetically modified (GM) crops, demanding reduced tariffs on them, due to which business deal is not being done yet. America wants exemption from 100 percent tariff in this.
Why does India not want to agree with US?
Milk in India is considered to be religious and culturally sacred and it is not acceptable for India to allow milk (non -veg milk) from cattle who eat non -veg. India wants a balanced deal between the two countries, which should protect the interests of 140 crore people, especially 70 crore farmers. Food wants to keep the farmers’ interests, and strategic autonomy on prominence. At the same time, the US is expecting better access to the market.
