In Indore, the Economic Offenses Branch (EOW) took a major action against Municipal Corporation officer Chetan Patil. The main reason for this raid was that of financial irregularities and earning disproportionate assets. The EOW team started action from morning itself, and action was taken at the municipal premises as well as other places.
The reason for the action of eow
Chetan is the Assistant Superintendent in the Municipal Corporation. Eow was receiving complaints of financial irregularities against Chetan Patil for several months. Patil was accused of acquiring disproportionate assets. Due to this, EOW’s team reached his house and office from today (Tuesday) morning to raid. The team also sealed their office located in the municipal premises.
Allegations have been made earlier also
Chetan Patil was working in the Municipal Corporation Horticulture Department for many years, and during this time he has been facing various serious allegations. It is claimed that Patil, who has been working in the Municipal Corporation for years, had made an unexpected increase in his property in the last few years, which raised doubts and questions on him. In this context, Eow planned a raid against him and carried out it today.
Patil’s office sealed
The EOW team also reached the new building of the Municipal Corporation and sealed Patil’s office located there. This step has raised a big question on the ongoing financial inquiry in the Municipal Corporation. This is not the first time in the Municipal Corporation that an officer has been accused of such allegations. Recently, many other officials have also been accused of corruption.
