The Prayagraj police have got a big success. Four lakh rupees vicious criminal Ashish Ranjan alias Chhotu Singh resident JC Mallik Road, Dhanbad, Jharkhand was killed by the police in an encounter. Police have recovered a large quantity of cartridges and kiosks including AK 47 from the possession of the culprit. During the siege, the criminal attacked the police with AK 47. The STF team narrowly survived. The vicious crook was killed in retaliation.
Three employees and officers of STF unit Prayagraj, JP Rai, Prabhanjan and Rohit Singh AK 47 narrowly escaped. STF shot the crook in counter -firing. He was arrested and taken to Shankargarh Community Health Center, where doctors declared him dead. The killed crook was wanted in many cases and the police had also declared a reward of four lakh rupees on him. From his possession, the police have recovered AK-47, Nine MM pistol and a large amount of cartridges as well as a bike.
