PM Modi will address public meeting

Urban Development Minister Manohar Lal Khattar informed that earlier the buildings of the ministries were built in a disorganized manner, while now Central Vista is being developed under an organized and modern plan. Under this project, three duty buildings have been completed so far, and a total of ten buildings will be constructed in total.
Other seven buildings will also be ready by April 2027
The work has now reached the final stage. The other seven buildings proposed will be ready by April 2027. These buildings are being constructed for ministries, in which special care has been taken of technical, security and environmental adaptability. A command CCTV Center has been set up to monitor the entire campus, which will continuously monitor the campus and the inner corridors.
The new buildings built for central ministries and departments were first named the Common Central Secretariat (CCS). For the purpose of connecting these buildings to the metro line, it has been proposed to construct a new line from Indraprastha metro station.
Why modern building built
In response to a question, the Union Minister said that the need for new and modern buildings of the ministries was felt because the existing buildings were built between 1950 and 1970 and are now old. The annual maintenance of these buildings has become quite expensive. At present, the central government has about 55 ministries and 93 departments, including North and South Block as well as Krishi Bhawan, Shastri Bhawan, Industry and Nirman Bhawan.
A total of seven departments including Home and Foreign Ministry will be shifted to Duty Bhavan-3
Several important ministries have been ranked in the newly constructed Duty Bhawan-3, including the office of the office of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of MSME, Personnel and Training Affairs, Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry and Principal Scientific Advisor.
The Finance Ministry will be transferred to Duty Bhavan-1, which is prepared by next month. A printing press is also being installed in this building, so that the Finance Ministry will be able to publish its budget itself. Keeping this requirement in mind, already the required place has been allocated.
When the construction of duty buildings is completed, then all the ministries located in North and South Block will be transferred from there. Subsequently, by emptying both the blocks, Yuga-Yugin Bharat Museum will be established in them.
Central Vista Project work will be completed December 2031
Under this project, history, art and culture from Mahabharata period to present time will be displayed without any change in structure. Union Minister Manohar Lal informed that the work of the Central Vista Project will be completed by December 2031, including new houses and offices for the Prime Minister. Necessary procedures have also been started for this.
