The talaver is hanging on the demonstrations on the officers and employees who have been promoted since the Promotion Rules 2002. The promotion rules were canceled by the High Court in 2016 in 2016. In such a situation, the demand for demonstration of the employees promoted under this rule has been rising since then.
However, the government is not in favor of action on anyone, so the decision of the High Court was challenged in the Supreme Court, on which instructions were given to maintain the status quo till the final decision was made. Now, since the government has made a new promotion rule, the Supreme Court will be requested to validate the promotions that have been done by that time and the matter under consideration should be abolished.
Questions were raised on the validity of promotion
The validity of promotion was questioned by the High Court’s cancellation of the promotion rule in April 2016. Unreserved category employees demanded a demonstration to the employees promoted by the 2002 rule. Its basis was made to ensure that M Nagraj’s decision in the matter related to reservation in promotion.
On this basis, the rules were also canceled, but the government does not want to offend anyone, so as soon as the decision came, he went to the Supreme Court and got instructions to maintain the status quo from there. Now the new promotion rule has been approved by the cabinet.
SPX demands this
Now promotions will also start getting from him, but the employees of the unreserved class who had fallen behind due to the 2002 rule even after being senior, will still remain backward. Regarding this, the General, Backward and Minority Class Officer-Employees Institution (SPX) has demanded from the government that the injustice done to the unreserved class should be corrected by demonstrating the wrong promoted employees, then there will be a matter of consent on the new rule.
Officers and employees who are promoted will get its benefit
At the same time, officials of the General Administration Department say that the law and legislative department is being consulted in this regard. Since, at that time, promotions were on the basis of available rules, the Supreme Court will be requested to dispose the petition. If this happens, it will benefit all the officers and employees promoted by the 2002 rule.
