New Delhi.
There is no possibility of a ruckus in Parliament over Bihar’s SIR. Now, according to a media report, the opposition coalition India’s large parties rejected the appeal of the small parties, which was said to find a way to run the Parliament. However, no party has officially said anything about it. The opposition coalition is demanding discussion on SIR.
According to media reports, some members of the INDIA alliance appealed to large parties to find a way to run Parliament, but this was rejected. Sources were quoted as saying that John Britas of CPM, NK Premchand of RSDP and ET Mohammad Bashir of IUML suggested that Parliament session should not go vacant.
According to the report, the petition of these MPs was rejected by big parties like Congress, Dravid Munnetra Kazhagam, Trinamool Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal. Big parties believe that the government should not be given a chance to avoid discussions on issues like voter list review. There are also reports that the opposition has decided to protest against ECI i.e. Election Commission in the coming days.
Opposition march on 11 August
Earlier, opposition parties had decided to march till the Election Commission on 8 August, but it has been extended to 11 August due to the death of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren. The program of dinner by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha is going to be held on August 7.
Apart from this, due to Soren’s death, the protests organized by the Congress in Bengaluru on Tuesday will now be held on August 8. Rahul will lead this performance. The Congress alleges that in the 2023 Karnataka assembly elections, Mahadevpura Assembly seat of Bengaluru was widely rigged in the voter list. The Election Commission has dismissed the allegations of manipulation in the voter list.
