A major accident took place late in the night in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh. The slab of the flyover bridge under construction at the railway crossing located at Pohri Road suddenly fell. Construction work was going on at the bridge at the time of the accident and the workers were also working at night. It is being told that a slab was being put in a hurry without adequate security arrangements, which suddenly fell down.
Six laborers working in this accident were hit by slabs and were seriously injured. Other people present on the spot immediately started relief work and all the injured were taken to the district hospital. At present, all the workers are undergoing treatment and their condition is said to be stable. Local administration and construction agency are facing allegations of negligence. The administration has ordered an inquiry into the incident. At present, construction work has been stopped on the spot and the investigation of the case is going on.
