India retaliated on a deal of ₹ 31,500 crore, replied in Trump’s tongue – a stir in America

New Delhi

US President Donald Trump has lost his hands against India. He has announced a 50 percent tariff on India due to importing oil from Russia. However, the whole world knows that this is the double attitude of the US President. America and European countries themselves buy huge amounts of oil, gas and fertilizers from Russia. India has repeated this attitude of America again and again. The European organization CREA (Center for Research on Energy and Clean Air) has also exposed this claim of Donald Trump in a special report.

Well, now India has also made up its mind that it will not bow down to this duplicity of Donald Trump. After Donald Trump remained silent on the nonsense for a long time, India has made its position completely clear by issuing a statement in the past. Along with this, India has also started taking action.

India took big action

A large deal has been canceled. In fact, India had signed a deal for its Navy to buy six P-8 I Posedon aircraft from the US Boeing company. These aircraft are for monitoring in the sea. Given the huge sea sector of India, the Navy needs many such aircraft. These are very modern and advanced aircraft and they are in great need to monitor China’s growing influence from the Arabian Sea to the Indian Ocean. According to a report by Defense website IDRW, India decided to stop the deal on August 3 for the time being.

12 aircraft near navy

The Indian Navy already has 12 such aircraft. India bought these aircraft from Boeing in 2009. India became the first international buyer to buy these aircraft from America then. In 2008, the first eight aircraft deal was signed. At that time, its cost came around 2.2 billion dollars i.e. about 19 thousand crores. Then in 2016, India bought four more such aircraft. About 8500 crores was spent on it.

These aircraft are very important for the Navy

After this, in May 2021, the US approved the sale of six such aircraft to India. The deal was to cost about $ 2.42 billion (about 21 thousand crores). The deal was for the Eastern Naval Command. However, this deal was stuck due to increasing costs. By July 2025, the cost of this deal increased to $ 3.6 billion i.e. about Rs 31,500 crore. Despite this, the Government of India was going to finalize this deal again this year. Because the Indian Navy described this aircraft as the best. This P-8 I Posedon aircraft capacity is extremely advanced. It has anti-ship missile NASM-MR. Its range is 350 km. It is very effective in keeping a close watch on China’s naval activities in the Indian Ocean. But, due to the tariff war of the US President, India has banned the deal.

If this deal is completely canceled, then this American company will prove to be a big shock for Boeing. Boeing has given employment to about five thousand people in India. She does a turnover of $ 1.7 billion in India’s economy, or about 15 thousand crore rupees.

Stopping this deal can affect the strength of the Indian Navy. These aircraft are performed under monitoring hundreds of naval ships and 20 thousand merchant ships in the maritime area of India. However, India itself is making its surveillance aircraft. Given the huge cost in purchasing P-8 I Posedon, it is believed that India can give priority to its Swedesi aircraft. DRDO and HAL are developing such aircraft.
