The convoy of Asifa Bhutto Zardari, a member of the National Assembly and daughter of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, going from Karachi to Nawabshah from Karachi, was surrounded by protesters by protesters. She was passing through the Jamshoro toll plaza, when protesters protesting the canal project stopped them for some time, and also tried to attack the convoy with sticks. This created a tense atmosphere on the highway.
The protesters said that they were protesting against the disputed canal project and corporate farming. He described this project against the interests of farmers and general public. According to the police, during the incident, the security force and the force immediately took action and took the vehicle of Asifa Zardari to a safe place and evacuated the convoy.

According to local media reports, SSP Zafar Siddiq, Sindh -based in Sindh, said that the convoy was stopped for less than a minute and there was no loss of any kind. He said, “If the law and order is disturbed anywhere, then the police take appropriate action.”
Some suspects were arrested!
The SSP also informed that an FIR has been registered in this case and some suspects have been arrested. He warned that strict action will be taken against anyone who tries to disturb public peace. He also emphasized that security forces take matters seriously and are ready to maintain social peace.
