A serious case has come to light in Sehore. The college student has accused two brothers and a cleric of rape and conversion. The student says that two brothers made her a victim of physical abuse. Along with this, he was also forced to change religion. The police have arrested three accused and started investigation.
Rape by calling home by threatening
The victim told the police that she is a BA second year student in a college in Bhopal and a resident of Sehore. Zubair Mansoori, who lives near his house in 2022, expressed her choice. The student refused, but Zubair started threatening her. After threatening, Zubair raped her in May 2022 and raped her. The victim stopped contact with Zubair, but threatened to kill and defame the family. Due to this fear, she started meeting Zubair again.
Zubair’s brother also did physical abuse
According to the victim, in September 2022, Zubair again called her to her house. His elder brother Shoaib (Sohail) pressured him to forcibly make a physical relationship. Shoaib threatened that if she does not listen to her, her photo would make her viral. Fearing slander, the student obeyed her and became a victim of physical abuse. After this, Zubair told him that all this goes on in his family and he will have to do all this.
Trying to change the name by reading Kalma
In 2024, Zubair called the victim to her house and introduced her to Hafiz Saheb Arif, who lives in the mosque. Hafiz Saheb refused to go to the temple and worship him and forcibly try to teach Kalma. Subsequently, the victim was renamed to Zainab Mansuri. Zubair told him that he would get her married after this process.
The victim said- threatened and called home, the raped student told the police in a statement- ‘I am from Sehore. I am doing BA from a college in Bhopal. Zubair Mansoori, who lives in front of the house in 2022, said that I like you. When he tried to talk, I refused. He said- what is wrong with talking. I got into his talk and started talking on our phone.
The victim further said- ‘When there was no one at home, Zubair would be called to meet. When I refused, he started threatening. He said- If you do not come, I will tell everyone that you talk to me. Fearing his threat, I went to her house in May 2022, where she raped. ‘
According to the victim- ‘After this I stopped talking to her. A few days later, Zubair called and threatened that if he does not talk to me, I will kill your family members and defame you. I started talking again due to fear of slander.
Zubair’s brother also threatened and raped the victim that in September 2022, Zubair again called me to his house. There his elder brother Shoaib (Sohail) saw us together. A few days later Shoaib told me that you have a relationship with me. When I refused, he threatened that you will make your photos viral. Fearing slander, I went to meet him and he too did wrong with me.
The student said that when I told this to Zubair, she said- all this goes on here, you have to do it. After this, many times Zubair made physical relations without my will.
Threatened when stopped talking
The victim alleged that after wrongdoing, I stopped talking to Zubair, it was normal for a few days but one day she threatened and threatened that if you do not talk to me, I will kill your family and kill you, I started talking to her again, afraid of Zubair’s threat. The victim told that later her brother also started raping. He said, ‘In September 2022, Zubair once again threatened and called me to his house. His elder brother Shoaib also came there and he saw us together, after which Shoaib called the photo viral and raped me. When he told this to Zubair, he said- all this goes on here, you have to do it. After this, many times Zubair and Shoaib made physical relations without my will.
Value from going to the temple, conversion from the cleric
The victim alleged that in 2024, Zubair called me to her house and introduced Hafiz Saheb Arif living in the mosque, she named me Zainab Mansuri. During this time, he tried to forcibly teach Kalma many times and Maulvi said that you do not go to the temple, do not worship, read Kalma, then you will learn our customs, then you will get your marriage done with Zubair. Finally, I told my cousin and brother the whole thing after being upset with Zubair. After this we reached the police station and gave a complaint against Zubair, Shoaib and Hafiz Saheb Arif.
SDOP Pooja Sharma said that the woman had given a complaint on Tuesday, after which the investigation was conducted and on Wednesday, a case has been registered against the three accused under sections 376, 363, 366, 376 (2n), Poxo Act and Madhya Pradesh Religious Freedom Act 2021. The three have also been arrested, the accused will be produced in the court on Thursday.

Pressure to make ID on Instagram
The victim said that Zubair made an ID on Instagram in her name and asked her to run the account with that ID. After this, the student told her family all the things and reached the police station with them. After this a case was registered against Zubair, Shoaib and Hafiz Saheb Arif.
Police action
SDOP Pooja Sharma said that a case was registered against the three accused on the complaint of the student. The case was registered under sections 376, 363, 366, 376 (2n), Poxo Act and Madhya Pradesh Religious Freedom Act 2021. The police have arrested the three accused. A thorough investigation of the case is going on.
