Nagpur
A heartbreaking incident has come to light on the Nagpur-Madhya Pradesh highway. After the wife’s death in a road accident, the husband kept pleading with passers -by for help, but no one helped her. Finally, desperately, the husband tied his wife’s body on a motorcycle and took him alone to his village about 80 km away. This incident highlights not only human insensitivity, but also the lack of security system on the highway.
How did this painful accident happen?
The accident occurred at around 2:30 pm on Sunday afternoon, when Amit Yadav (36), who lives in Nagpur, was going to his village Karanpur in Madhya Pradesh by motorcycle with his wife Gyarasi Yadav. Just a short distance from Nagpur, a high speed truck hit his bike in Devlapar. In this accident, Ghikari Yadav died on the spot and Amit Yadav was injured.
Despite being injured, Amit Yadav stood on the road for a long time and sought help from the people, but no one came forward to help him. No squad of highway police also reached the spot. When he did not see any hope from anywhere, he tied his wife’s body on a motorcycle and walked towards Madhya Pradesh.
What does the police say?
Additional Superintendent of Police Anil Mhaske said that the police saw him in this condition at Khumari Toll Naka and tried to stop, but he did not stop. The police also made a video of him. Later, Nagpur police traced his village in Madhya Pradesh with joint efforts and brought the body back to Nagpur for post -mortem.
Police is investigating
The police have started scrutinizing the CCTV footage on the highway and toll points, so that the unknown truck colliding can be detected. An FIR will be lodged against the unknown vehicle only after the post -mortem report. The incident took place in the hometown of Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, which has raised many questions on the availability of emergency services on road safety and highway.
