On the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has given a special gift for women. Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation has announced to provide free bus travel facilities to women on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. This facility will be applicable from 6 am to 12 am on August 9 to 12 pm. During this time, women will be able to travel free in all state transport buses.

Under this scheme, not only women, but also a co -passenger with them will be able to travel for free. This initiative has been taken to make the festival of Rakshabandhan more special, so that women can travel easily to meet their brothers and family.

Officials of Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation said that this facility will be available in all types of buses, such as ordinary, AC, and Janrath buses. No tickets will be required during the journey. Women will not need to show any documents to verify their identity while climbing the bus, which will make the journey even more easy.

Earlier, on August 4, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had announced that his government is going to give free travel to the sisters and daughters of the state on the occasion of Rakshabandhan Bandhan. This step is being taken in view of Rakshabandhan, so that he will not have any kind of problem in going to his brother’s house. CM Yogi had clarified that our government is ensuring that the sisters and daughters of the state do not have any kind of problem on the occasion of Rakshabandhan.

Let us know that on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, the free journey of the bus started in the year 2017, the process of which is still going on. According to the state government, 1.23 crore women have taken advantage of this. At the same time, during this time the Transport Corporation itself beaten up more than Rs 101 crore as tickets. Also, the Transport Corporation has instructed all bus drivers and operators to travel women and their hosters with full convenience and respect during this period.
