A 6 -year -old girl of Indian -origin has been attacked in the city of Waterford, Ireland. On Monday evening (August 4), while playing outside the house, some boys surrounded him and beat him badly saying “Go Back to India”. It is alleged that he hit him with a bicycle in a private part and also hit many punches on his face.
At the time of the incident, the girl’s mother went inside the house to feed her 10 -month -old son. She told that she was keeping an eye out, but when the younger son started crying, she went inside for a minute. Then the girl returned home crying and could not even speak anything.
Later a friend of his told that about five boys aged 12 to 14 hit his face and a boy hit the wheel of the bicycle on his private part. An 8 -year -old girl was also part of this gang. The girl’s mother told in a conversation with The Irish Mirror that the attackers also gave dirty abuses and made ethnic comments as ‘Dirty Indian’.
Mother’s nurse mother living in Ireland for eight years
The girl’s mother, who is a nurse by profession and has been living in Ireland for the last eight years, has recently become Irish citizens. He said, “We don’t feel safe now here. My daughter is now afraid of playing outside the house. I am very sad that I could not keep her safe.” The family shifted to Kilbari area of Waterford in January this year. The mother also told that she later saw the boys who were staring and laughing. They are still roaming around.
Three attacks on Indians in Ireland so far
The girl’s mother has complained about the incident to the IRISH Police but did not demand any punishment. He says, “I want them to be counseling and given the right direction. We are professionals here, we have worked hard to work in Ireland.” This incident has raised concerns about the safety of the Indian community in Ireland.
Last month, a 40 -year -old Indian man was also beaten up and publicly naked by a gang of teenagers in a suburb of Dublin. Three attacks on Indians have come to light in Dublin since July 19
