This formula will increase the salary of employees
The salary under the 8th Pay Commission will increase the same as the 7th Pay Commission was implemented. Acroid formula will be used to increase the salary and pension of employees.
What is this formula?
The formula was introduced by Dr. Wallace Acroid, which was designed to decide the minimum cost of life. It was told in this formula that the salary should be calculated based on the nutritional needs of the average employees. While making this formula, the needs of employees like food, cloth and house were kept in mind. The formula was adopted by the 15th Indian Labor Conference (ILC) in 1957.
This formula was also implemented to the 7th Pay Commission
Under this formula, the salary of employees was also increased under the 7th Pay Commission. After the 7th Pay Commission was implemented, the basic salary of employees increased from Rs 7000 to Rs 18000. The fitment factor of 2.57 was implemented to update the salary and pension of the employees. This fitment factor was decided by across the formula.
Salary will increase 3 times under 8th Pay Commission!
It is estimated that as soon as the 8th Pay Commission is implemented, the salary of the employees will see a bumper bounce. Basic salary may increase by about 3 times, which will be possible under the acroid formula. If this formula is also used under the 8th Pay Commission, then the calculation of salary and pension will be on the basis of 2.86 fitments. This means that the minimum basic salary can increase from Rs 18000 to Rs 51480. At the same time, pension will increase from Rs 9000 to Rs 25740.
