In Indore district of Madhya Pradesh, under unique use, the Excise Department has imposed QR code on contracts to deliver the correct price information to the customers. The officers provided this information. After the complaint of selling domestic and foreign liquor at a higher price, now the Excise Department has installed QR codes at all 173 liquor shops in the district. Each shop has clear QR code at three places. Consumers will now scan these and get information about the minimum selling price (MSP) and maximum selling price (MRP) of any liquor brand.

Inappropriate price recovery will be banned

A lot of complaints of selling liquor from liquor shops in the district were reaching the district administration and CM helpline. In the case, Collector Ashish Singh instructed the Excise Department to curb it. Now the Excise Department has installed QR codes at all shops in the district. This will prevent unfair price recovery and the consumer will get information about the value of all the brand liquor.

What will happen in these codes

Assistant Excise Commissioner Abhishek Tiwari Indore said that the state government was receiving complaints from various districts of the state that liquor is being sold at some liquor shops less than the prescribed minimum selling price (MSP) and maximum selling price (MRP). Strict instructions have been issued by the government with the aim of curbing such irregularities and providing liquor to consumers at reasonable price. Scanning these QR code will bring the site of the Excise Department. In this, you can see the correct price by putting the name of the brand of liquor.

Consumers will be able to know the right value of alcohol

At the same time, the accountability of vendors will be ensured. If liquor is sold at more than the fixed price or less, a complaint can be lodged in the Excise Department. Assistant Commissioner Excise Abhishek Tiwari says that for the convenience of consumers, QR codes have been installed so that he can know the correct value of alcohol.
Action has been taken at 18 shops

Complaints of charging more prices from liquor shops on CM helpline were investigated in the past. On finding the complaint correct, the Excise Department took action on 18 liquor shops in the district and made 19 cases. Notices have been issued to all and these shops will be fined 51 lakh.
