US President Donald Trump has once again shocked India. The US government has announced 25 percent extra tariff on India. The Trump government has been accusing India of buying Russian oil and funding Russia in the Ukraine War for the last few days. Trump warned on Tuesday that he could increase the tariff on India within 24 hours. The Trump government has already imposed 25 percent tariff on India.

Trump on Tuesday made a social media platform Truth social announcement that he would put extra tariffs on India within 24 hours. On Wednesday, Trump announced 25 per cent extra tariff on India. Under this, now the US has imposed 50 percent tariff on India.

Tariff threats being given about Trump’s India is causing a ruckus in his own home in America. Republican leader and former governor Nikki Haley criticized Trump’s decision. Haley bluntly advised Trump not to spoil relations with India. He had warned that China would benefit directly in the event of stress from India. Nikki Haley had said that Trump should not forget to understand India and China. Let us know that Trump had earlier increased the tariff by 125 per cent in the business war with China. After this, there was a conversation between the two sides and then the Trump government gave China a 90 -day deferment on tariffs.
India has shown strictness
India has given a strict reply to the US on Trump’s allegations and tariff threats. Recently, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs had said in two words that the US and the European Union itself are trade with Russia and how it can stop India from doing so. India also said that when India started oil trade from Russia during the Ukraine War in 2022, the US had encouraged it. India also said that the interests and security of the citizens of the country are universal for it, the government will not compromise its values.
