Bhopal Mandal Railway has earned notable passenger revenue during the initial two months and May 2025 of the financial year 2025-26 due to continuous expansion of passenger services and efficiency in operation.
A total of Rs 160 crore 25 lakh originating revenue
During this period, Mandal has received a total of Rs 160 crore 25 lakh through 70 lakh 59 thousand passengers of reserved and unreserved categories. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria said that the Bhopal Railway Division has implemented several schemes, giving priority to the facilities of the passengers, which has revealed positive results. Increasing number of passengers and revenue growth is evidence of planned strategies of the board. He informed that efforts made to increase passenger traffic in Bhopal Railway Division include operating special trains for convenience of passengers, expansion of over -demanding trains, initiative to reduce the waiting list by putting additional coaches in trains, expansion of practical stagnation at selected stations and increasing the pace of infrastructure by increasing the pace of infrastructure and infrastructure improvements.
Major efforts made to increase passenger traffic in Bhopal division
