New Delhi
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, while presenting a clear and serious assessment about India’s national security, said that India has no choice but to become powerful. This statement comes at a time when the Sangh is preparing for its centenary year and recently the operation vermilion has been successfully carried out against Pakistan. In a special interview, Bhagwat said, “We do not want to be powerful to establish dominance over world trade, but because everyone can live a peaceful, healthy and strong life. The forces of evil are active on our borders, so we have to gain power.” Bhagwat emphasized that security is not only the work of the government or army, but starts from the society. He advised Hindu society to be ready for self -defense, “You have to protect yourself. Do not wait for others. When Hindus stand firmly, the world takes them seriously.”
Mohan Bhagwat did not consider national security as limited to borders or barracks, describing it as mental, cultural and pre-active. He said that ethnic harmony, family values and responsibility towards ecology are also components of security. He said how a broken society will protect itself?
Do not be war, prepare for it
Mohan Bhagwat said, “We get such power that we become invincible globally. True power is internal. We should not depend on others for national security. No power may be the joint power of many countries, not defeat us. We do not wish war, but do not be war.”
Concern of Hindu minorities
Talking about Hindu minorities in Pakistan and Bangladesh, Mohan Bhagwat said that now they are ready to fight instead of running. He said, “This time the anger that came out against the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh is unprecedented. Now local Hindus are also saying that we will not run, fight for rights. This is the objective of the Sangh. Wherever Hindus are, we will make every possible effort under international rules for them.”
