The all -party delegation led by Congress leader Shashi Tharoor spoke to the major think tank, academic leaders and media in New York. In this conversation, the delegation strongly underlined India’s resolve to fight terrorism. This was confirmed by India’s Consulate General in New York on its official ‘X’ handle.
According to an official statement by the Consulate, “Members of the all -party delegation, who arrived in New York during a diplomatic outreach trip by Shashi Tharoor, reiterated India’s unwavering commitment to fight all forms and expressions of terrorism.”
Indian representatives “gave a firm message of zero tolerance and integrated national resolve against terrorism and advocated a strong international mechanism to combat terrorism, end its network and bring criminals into the dock of justice.” Along with this, focus on strengthening Indo-US strategic relations.
During his visit to New York, the Indian delegation paid tribute to the victims of 9/11 terror attacks. The delegation’s statement said, “The ‘National September 11 monument and museum’ was visited as a symbol of solidarity and paid tribute to the innocent people killed in 9/11 attacks. India is united with terrorism victims globally.
The journey is part of India’s broad diplomatic global reach after ‘Operation Sindoor’, which aims to build consensus among major international countries to deal with the complex and emerging threats arising from terrorism.
The delegation led by Shashi Tharoor includes Shambhavi Chaudhary (Lok Janshakti Party), Sarfaraz Ahmed (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha), GM Harish Balayagi (Telugu Desam Party), Shashank Mani Tripathi (BJP), Tejashwi Surya (BJP), Lata (BJP) of Bhuvaneshwar, Lata (BJP), Milind Devra (Shiv Sena) and East Indian in America.
