On August 11, more than 18 lakh boys and girls aged 1 to 19 will be fed albendazole in the district. In this program, cooperation is being taken in feeding medicines from all government, recognized schools, private schools, madrasas teachers. Under this, a target is to feed 18.60 lakh children to feed stomach worms. It includes all the boys and girls going to school from six to 19 years along with all the children registered in all Anganwadi from one to five years.

CMO Dr. Sandeep Chaudhary said that children get malnourished due to insects in the stomach. They have anemia, due to which children start getting weaker. Feeding medicine improves the health and nutrition of children. Worm liberation increases the immunity of children. Anemia is controlled in children. Worm liberation improves children’s learning ability. Parents should feed the children to remove insects to protect the children from this problem.

Additional Chief Medical Officer and Nodal Officer of the program, Dr. Sanjay Rai said that about 7.50 lakh urban areas and about 11.0 lakh children are in rural areas, who will be fed albendazole medicine. In this work, a total of 3914 Anganwadi centers and 2853 government recognized schools, private schools, madrasas will be supported in feeding medicines. In this program, the doctors of RBSK team in rural areas and all the urban PHC doctors in the urban area will cooperate with all the ANMs and ASHA workers of the entire district.

In the campaign, medicines will also be fed to children who do not go to school. Along with this, children of workers working on brick-kilns will also be fed medicine at Anganwadi centers.
