A new batch of 2,896 devotees departed to see Baba Barfani






Jammu,

A new batch of 2,896 pilgrims to visit Baba Bafarni at the holy Amarnath cave in South Kashmir Himalayas left the passenger residence from Bhagwati Nagar base camp on Friday morning, chanting ‘Bum Bum Bhole’.
Government sources said, “This morning a new batch of 2,896 pilgrims left for the Sri Amarnath Yatra cave temple in Kashmir amidst tight security arrangements.”

He said that 790 pilgrims left for Pahalgam and 2,106 pilgrims left in a fleet of 117 vehicles, including light motor vehicles and heavy vehicles. The annual pilgrimage started from both routes on July 2 and will end on Rakshabandhan on 09 August. So far, more than three lakh pilgrims have visited the holy Himling.
