The beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) in Moradabad will now be selected through Artificial Intelligence (AI), where the district administration has stated that 44533 new applications will be investigated through AI. AI satellite imaging and location tracking will test whether the pictures of the houses put on the portal are real or not. After checking the veracity of all the applications, AI will finally decide which people should get accommodation and who do not. With such an investigation, the scope of disturbances in the plan will be negligible, as well as those who make false claims will be discharged.
The advantage of AI will be that if someone has tried to take advantage of the scheme by showing a photo of the raw house while living in a pucca house, then AI will immediately catch and its application will be canceled immediately.
Investigation will be completely fair
Regarding this, Project Director, DRDA, Nirmal Kumar Dwivedi said that there have been some cases which have already had a pucca house but efforts are being made to take advantage of the scheme. According to him, such people will be excluded from the list. This process will be completely digital and fair and the final list will be made publicly available on https://awaAsplus.nic.in portal.
Investigation will be done in three phases
This investigation of AI will be held in three phases, where teams formed at the village level in the first phase will investigate. This includes Assistant Development Officer, Under Engineer and Boring Technician. Their job is to go from village to village to verify and submit their report by 31 July. In the second phase, the team of district level officers will re -evaluate documents and ground facts based on the block report. In the third and last stage, through AI technology, those giving misinformation on the basis of photo and location matching will be sorted and real beneficiaries will be added to the list.
