After the tariff imposed on India by US President Donald Trump, the relations between the two countries seem to be sour. Meanwhile, American senator Lindsay Graham on Friday urged India to use its influence to end Russia and Ukraine War. He said that if this war ends through India, then it will prove to be the most important step in improving relations between India and America.
Posting on the social media site X, Graham wrote, “As I have been telling my friends in India, he can do one of the most important things to improve India and America relations. That is the job to help President Trump try to stop the bloodshed in Ukraine.”
Graham also mentioned India’s oil purchase from Russia. He said, “India is the second largest buyer of Putin’s cheap oil. Putin’s war machine helps only with the money received through this oil purchase.”
Referring to the recent phone calls between Rashtriya Putin and PM Modi, Graham said, “I hope that PM Modi in his recent phone call with Putin will have emphasized the need to accept this war of Ukraine, to accept the proposal to justify, respectable and end the controversy.
