Bhopal
After a long time in the politics of Madhya Pradesh, there was such a view, which gave air to the discussions in the political corridors. A video of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has surfaced, in which he is seen holding the hand of former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh and taking him on the stage. Five years later, the two leaders appeared together in such a way, which has intensified speculation.
This incident is about the inauguration ceremony of a private school at Ratibad, Bhopal. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia was sitting on the stage at the program, while Digvijay Singh was sitting on the front chairs with his wife. As soon as Scindia’s eyes fell on him, he got down from the stage and went to him, greeted him with folded hands and then grabbed his hand and brought him to the stage. People present on this scene could not stop themselves from clapping.
For the first time after 2020, this was seen together
In March 2020, there was a tough rhetoric between the two leaders after Scindia left the Congress and joined the BJP with 22 MLAs. Digvijay Singh and Scindia’s relationship was very strong at the time of Kamal Nath government’s fall. In such a situation, his sitting together is being seen as a political ‘soft moment’ of five years later.
Political speculation fast
The atmosphere for Scindia is not completely comfortable in the Gwalior-Chambal region. Recently, Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar also commented on him without naming him. In such a situation, there is speculation that factionalism between the two veteran BJP leaders in Gwalior-Chambal is going on very fast. At the same time, now there is a discussion about the meeting whether it is the beginning of a new political board or just a formal courtesy. Interestingly, Raghaugarh, which is the stronghold of Digvijay Singh in history, was once under the Gwalior royal family. Digvijay is called ‘Raja Saheb’, while Scindia is called ‘Maharaj’. The political competition between the two houses is old, but this moment presents a new picture separate from that feud.
Be aware of sleeve snakes…
The two leaders have made rhetoric against each other. Last year, in a meeting with Congress workers in Gwalior, Digvijay Singh had said without naming anyone to be conscious of sleeve snakes. Its different meanings were extracted. Political experts had removed the statement that it was probably targeted by Jyotiraditya Scindia. At the same time, Jyotiraditya Scindia also said at Digvijay Singh that earlier he used to target my father and now he is targeting me. Then Digvijay Singh said that he is still a child.
Digvijia Singh swears broken
In fact, at the Constitution Bachao rally held in Gwalior about three months ago, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh announced that he will never sit on the stage now. He said that the politics of the forum should end and they will go on the stage only when their turn comes, otherwise they will sit among the common people.
But Digvijay Singh was seen sitting on the stage in a private event on Friday. After this the discussion started whether his “swear” broke? However, Digvijay Singh says that he had said not to sit on the stage in the context of the programs of the Congress party, while the program was private. During this, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia himself appeared to take him on stage.
First bowed down and then this example of positive politics was seen when Jyotiraditya Scindia went above political differences as soon as he came on stage in the school inauguration in Bhopal and greeted former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh and greeted him with affection. After this, he held his hand and brought him along on the stage. During this time applause echoed throughout the auditorium.
Scindia, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who met BJP state president Khandelwal, met BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal in Bhopal. This is his second important meeting with Scindia after the appointment of Khandelwal. Earlier, there has been a long and strategic meeting between the two leaders at Scindia’s residence in Delhi. With this, Scindia also met State Organization General Secretary Hitanand Sharma.
