Udhampur
A big accident took place in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. A bunker vehicle of CRPF crashed here. The accident took place in Kandwa area of Basantgarh area, where the vehicle suddenly overturned after being uncontrollable on the road. In this accident, 2 CRPF personnel died on the spot, while 12 other soldiers were injured.
According to the information, there were a total of 23 soldiers in the bunker vehicle. As soon as the vehicle reached the Kandwa-Basantgarh road, the vehicle was uncontrolled and overturned there. After the accident, there was chaos in the area. When the local people came to know, immediately reached the spot and the police was informed. The police team immediately reached the spot and the rescue operation was started. All the injured soldiers have been admitted to the nearest hospital, where the condition of some is said to be critical.
Regarding the matter, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sandeep Bhat said that two soldiers lost their lives in the accident and the injured soldiers are undergoing treatment. At the same time, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has also expressed grief in a post on his social media handle X regarding the accident. He has talked to District Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai personally. He said that relief works are being monitored. The minister also informed that the local people have also come forward to help. At present, the police is investigating the cause of the accident. According to preliminary information, the deterioration of bad roads and vehicles deteriorating is believed to be the reason for the accident.
