Philippines President Ferdinand R. Marcos Junior condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April. He also committed to stand with India against terror. He said that I have brought a message of our solidarity with India in a broad fight against terrorism.

Addressing a joint press conference, Marcos Junior said, “I have brought a message of our solidarity with India in the tragic attacks in Pahalgam earlier this year and a comprehensive fight against terrorism. Despite these challenges, I congratulate India’s remarkable change and ‘developed India’ till 2047 under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi.”
Prime Minister Modi thanked President Marcos for expressing support against terrorism. Speaking to reporters, President Marcos said, “This journey is a re-confirmation of the alliance and partnership that we are strengthening. Earlier we were called the Asia-Pacific region, now we are called the Indo-Pacific region, which is the right development of that understanding due to the global nature of politics, business and economy.”
