SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s question, what is the government doing to stop terrorist attacks?

New Delhi/Lucknow,

Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Monday raised sharp questions on Pahalgam terror attack, India’s foreign policy and Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh. Targeting the policies of the Central and State Government, he discussed issues like terrorism, failure of foreign policy and lack of transparency in governance.

On Chindambaram’s statement, Akhilesh, in a conversation with reporters, sought an answer from the government regarding the Pahalgam terror attack and said that the accurate information of the terrorists involved in this attack was not given to the public.

In fact, Chidambaram in an interview raised questions about the Pahalgam terror attack whether the terrorists involved in the attack really came from Pakistan? Are there evidence of this? He also said that domestic terrorists can also be in the attack.

He said that frequent terrorist incidents reflect the government’s failure. Akhilesh asked, “Why was not the complete information about the soldiers who were martyred in the previous attacks? What is the government doing to stop terrorism?”

Akhilesh appreciated the bravery of the Indian Army in ‘Operation Sindoor’ and said, “We salute the courage and valor of the army. If they get more opportunity, I would probably have PoK.

After the Pahalgam attack, India had said that all relations with Pakistan would end, but Akhilesh criticized the foreign policy for a cricket match between the two countries again in the Asia Cup. He said, “Our foreign policy has failed. Many countries respect India, but no one stands with us when needed.”

He also questioned the trade with China and said, “India is giving so much trade to China, yet the threat to our borders remains intact. The government should make a 10 -year program, in which Chinese goods do not come in India. Like campaigns like demonetisation and plate in Kovid, the campaign to promote Swadeshi starts.”

Taking a dig at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Akhilesh said, “The record of being the longest Chief Minister is not an achievement. If the record of not working, Yogi ji would have been at number one.”

Taking a sarcasm at the government of double engine, he said, “Someone is digging a tunnel from Lucknow to Delhi. But the public is not aware of it. There is only a show in the name of development.”

Akhilesh appealed to the public to be aware and question the policies of the government. He said, “There is a threat to Pakistan, but the real threat is from China. The government should take concrete steps on it.”

On the issue of Pahalgam attack and terrorism, Akhilesh said that the government will have to show transparency. The public has the right to know the truth. It is the responsibility of the government to stop terrorist attacks and to give a clear answer to the martyrdom of the soldiers.
