An Air India aircraft coming from Kochi overtook the runway at Mumbai airport on Monday morning. The aircraft was then stopped for examination. An airline spokesperson said the aircraft has been safely taxi. All passengers and crew members have landed. A spokesperson of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), Mumbai said that all passengers and crew are safe. The main runway 09/27 of the airport has received a minor loss. The second runway 14/32 has been activated to continue operations.
The spokesperson said in a statement, “On July 21, 2025, there was heavy rainfall during the landing of flight numbers AI2744 flying from Kochi to Mumbai. Because of this, the aircraft exited the runway after landing. The aircraft later taxi to the gate safely. All passengers and crew members have landed safely.
According to sources, a team from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is assessing the situation. A spokesman for the aviation company said, “The aircraft has been stopped for investigation. Passengers and crew safety is our top priority.
Air India Express flight was canceled in Ranchi
Earlier, the Air India Express regretted the inconvenience caused to a flight passengers going to Delhi on Monday. The flight had to be canceled a day earlier due to technical fault. The airline said that it prioritize the security of operations. In fact, due to cancellation of flight on Ranchi-Delhi road, there was chaos at the airport in Ranchi on Sunday evening. During this time, passengers were seen arguing with the airline employees about the time-development.

An airline spokesman said, “One of our flight from Ranchi was canceled immediately after boarding due to technical problem. Guests have been given options, including stay in the hotel as well as the next available flight. They have also been given the option to cancel the ticket with full refunds. We are sorry for inconvenience. We prioritize security in every aspect of our operations.
