KIA’s first 7-seater electric MPV launch, will get 490 km range and luxury features

Kia is going to make a big jump in the segment of electric vehicles in India. The company is scheduled to launch Carens Clavis EV on 15 July, which will be the country’s first month-market seven-seater electric MPV. This vehicle will not only give an option of environmentally friendly mobility, but will also prove to be a practical and premium option for large families.
Connected technology combination with sustainability

The launch of Kia Carens Clavis EV is not only offered a vehicle, but KIA is also going to strengthen its EV ecosystem in India. The facility ranging from AC Home charging setup to more than 1000 public charging stations is being provided. Apart from this, through the Kia Connect app, users will also be able to get facilities like charging real-time information, root navigation and digital payment.

EV Touch in Design, Ice Model -like body form

The exterior design of Carens Clavis Ev will be similar to its ICE version, but it will see EV-specific changes. These include close grills, aerodynamic alloy wheels, EV badging, ‘Star Map’ LED DRLs and a futuristic look with triple pod LED headlights.

The ‘Star Map’ LED tail light at the back gives it a sleek and attractive look.

Interior full of luxury features

The interior of Clavis EV will have a 26.62-inch dual-screen setup to add a digital instrument cluster and infotainment unit. Apart from this, other high-end features are included:

—Rer AC vents

Shakti and Performance: range up to 490 km

Kia has described the ARAI-certified range of this vehicle as 490 km. It is expected to get battery options with Hyundai Creta Electric. However, the performance may be slightly detected due to the large size of carens.

This EV will have a motor on front axle and will get a regenerative braking control through pedal shifters. Also, Vehicle-TO-LOD (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging can also be provided.

Adas also tops technology and safety

Kia Clavis EV has been tried to make one of the safest vehicles in the segment. It will have the following safety features:
