It has become difficult for professors and teachers to disappear from the college in government colleges of Madhya Pradesh. Taking a strict step, the Higher Education Department has made the digital attendance system mandatory in all government colleges. Under the new rules, teachers, sports officers, librarians, and guest scholars will have to be present in the college at a minimum of 6 hours. If a professor or employee does not follow these rules, his salary will be deducted. This decision is being considered a major step towards increasing discipline and accountability in government colleges of Madhya Pradesh.

Meaningful app will be monitored

The Department of Higher Education has chosen a meaningful app to implement digital attendance. Through this app, the principal of all colleges will create an analytics dashboard, which will update the data of the attendance of teachers and employees in real-time. Each college will be given a unique ID, through which the principal will be able to see data analytics.

Digital records will be sent to collector

Teachers and employees will have to register their presence on the meaningful app at the time of coming and going to college. This digital record will be sent to the District Collector, who will monitor the attendance. If a teacher or employee does not follow the compulsory presence of 6 hours, their salary will be cut. This deduction will be based on digital records, which will ensure transparency. The UGC says that this will increase the accountability of teachers and students will get better education.
