Preparation to give digital address to every house in Indore Municipal Corporation, will start from Ward 82 this month

The municipal corporation of the cleanest city in the state has launched a new digital initiative. Under this, every house in the city will get a digital address. Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava held a meeting in the auditorium of the City Bus Office on Tuesday. Taking a step towards digitization, the Indore Municipal Corporation has now prepared to give a digital address to every house in the city. Now every house in the city will be given a specific digital identity. A sheet will be pasted outside the house. It will have a special QR code.

On scanning this QR code, information about property tax, birth-death certificate, waste collection and other services will be available. This arrangement will start in Ward 82 by the end of this month. After this, it will be implemented in other wards of the corporation in a phased manner.

Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava had said to digitize the city in the previous year’s corporation budget. Since then, efforts were going on. As part of digitalization campaign, the corporation is going to install QR code outside every building in the city. In the first phase, it will start in Ward 82.

Both the corporation and the building owner will get the benefit of the QR code being installed outside the house. Any person will be able to scan the QR code and find out whether the property of the house is deposited or not, the garbage is being stored and regularly accumulating.

Similarly, information about the certificates issued at the said address will also be available from the QR code. Officers of the Revenue Department of the corporation will get information about the building as soon as the QR code is scanned. They will not have to take old records together.

Efforts will be intensified to implement the entire city
During the meeting, the Mayor directed the officials of Indore Municipal Corporation to complete this scheme soon and implement it in the entire city. Considering this digital initiative as an important step from the point of view of Digital India, the Mayor said that it would provide transparent, accessible and smart services to the citizens.

Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava said, “The app we have prepared will ensure the digital address of every household. This can provide all the information related to the Municipal Corporation to one place. As the first attempt, as an attempt, this scheme will be implemented in Ward 82 and we will try to complete it soon.

The mayor also informed that citizens will be able to call the car for garbage collection through the app. On sending a request, the corporation’s team will reach the house to pick up the garbage. However, the fee will be fixed for lifting garbage, which has not yet been determined.

We have prepared to install QR code outside the houses. By the end of this month, this system will be implemented from Ward 82. After this, QR codes will be installed outside houses across the city. This initiative of the corporation will provide transparent, accessible and smart service to the citizens.
