Replace the officials who are unable to discharge the responsibility: Energy Minister Tomar

Replace the officers of the power companies who are not discharging their responsibilities properly. In place of such officers, appoint their junior competent officers. Energy Minister Shri Pradyuman Singh Tomar gave these instructions during review of power tripping and maintenance works from video conferencing on Tuesday. In the meeting, MD East Region Power Distribution Company said that the salary hike of 15 officers has been stopped for not picking up the phone of electricity consumers.

Energy Minister Mr. Tomar told the officials in a strict tone to visit the area continuously. He said that send information about the tour program to advance. During the inspection, CM Helpline’s complaints, tripping and maintenance are prominently observed. Give information including the reason for the complaints which have been resolved in 3 to 4 hours. Also consider whether maintenance time can be reduced by 4 hours. He said that immediate cognizance of incidents of abuse and assault with electricity employees.

Reduce complaints in time limit
Minister Mr. Tomar reviewed the district -wise pending complaints and the time taken in their resolve. He said that the complaints should be resolved within the time-limit. If there is no major incident, then it should take minimum time to resolve. If a big incident has happened, then upload its photo, video and action being taken on various social media platforms. Mr. Tomar, especially during the review of the situation in Indore, gave clear instructions to the MD of the company to remove the lack of main-power and equipment as per the requirement. He said that the monsoon is just starting, it is very sad to have so many incidents of electricity tripping before that. Increase the number of FOCs where necessary. Minister Shri Tomar said that people should inform people about the exact reasons for electrical blockage.

Additional Chief Secretary Energy Mr. Neeraj Mandloi said that Rs 15-15 crore has been given to the three companies for maintenance. He said that make good use of the amount and ensure better maintenance, so that the tripping is minimized. The MD of Electrical Distribution Companies informed about the action being taken to stop electrical tripping and to resolve complaints. Managing Director Power Management Company Mr. Avinash Lavania was also present during this period. Other officials were connected through video conferencing.
