The work of the water Ganga Promotion Campaign, which started from March 30 in the state, has now reached the final phase. These works are now being reviewed in the districts. Along with this, other works including pond deepening, construction of absorbing pits are being done at a fast pace due to public participation. The general public is being made aware of other activities including wall writing in rural areas. In view of the upcoming rainy season in the state, a plan for extensive plantation around water sources has also been prepared.

Wall writing is being made aware

On the instructions of Collector Ajay Dev Sharma in Pandhurna district, Jal Chaupal was inaugurated in village-to-village under the leadership of Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad and administered the oath of environmental protection. Wall writing work was also done. In Jal Chaupal, the workers were sitting among the villagers and explained to them to keep cleanliness around the water sources. Information was also given on the action plan for plantation prepared in the district. The public was also informed about the historic stepwell around the area.

The works done so far in the water promotion campaign in the Collector Office in Ratlam district were reviewed. Collector Rajesh Batham instructed to complete the ongoing works in the campaign soon. He said that whatever work has been done so far for water enhancement and conservation, update the information about the Google seat. Geo tagging of all the water bodies made so far for water promotion in the district should be compulsorily done. In the meeting, information about school buildings, hospitals, health and wellness centers, Anganwadi buildings, panchayat buildings was given information. During the review of the Water Promotion Campaign, the Water Resources Department was directed to inspect the water power centers and provide information. Instructions were given to the PHE department that the recharge pit being made for water enhancement near hand pumps in Anganwadi centers and schools should be completed soon.

All water conservation works should be completed before rain

Shahdol Commissioner Smt. Surabhi Gupta has given instructions to complete all the work of the ongoing water Ganga enhancement campaign in the three districts of the division before the rain. He said that water structures, renovation of old ponds, construction of new nectar ponds, cleaning of wells, cleaning of wells, water conservation work near hand pumps, all the works including water conservation work, old stepwells should be completed by June 20. He directed that the barriers of the catchment area of ​​the ponds be removed so that rainwater can reach the ponds. Water structures should be recorded in revenue records.

Bawdi festival

The Jan Abhiyan Parishad in Dewas district organized the Bawdi Utsav program under the Jal Ganga Promotion Abhiyan in Kamalapur. Elephant Bawdi of Kamalapur is a historical heritage. The Bawdi festival is a celebration of cultural values ​​of water structure, promotion and saving historical heritage. The Bawdi festival of Kamalapur was performed on the occasion of the three centenary of Lokmata Ahilyabai. The three historical heritage of the district also include the elephant stepwell of Kamalapur. In the program, Hukum Patel informed about the conservation works of elephant stepwell. In the district, the work of cleaning the ancient stepwells is being done with public support.

Cleanliness of water sources

In Rewa and Mauganj districts, water Ganga enrichment campaign is being run to accumulate rainwater. In the campaign, new water structures are being constructed along with the cleanliness of old water sources. Plantation is also being prepared during the rainy season. In this regard, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Panchayat Mehtab Singh Gurjar informed that the PHE department is doing the work of restarting the tap water schemes and repairing the pipeline. A large number of farm ponds are also being constructed across the district in the campaign. Two farm ponds are being built in Gram Panchayat Dhopkhari. Along with this, information was also taken about the progress of the farm-pond being made in the surrounding area. In view of the upcoming rainy season, pits are being prepared by the Industrial Development Corporation for plantation. Cleanliness of ancient water sources and Amrit lakes are being constructed in the district.

Chlorination work in villages for clean water

In order to make the public aware of the public in the rural areas of the district by the Public Health Engineering Office in Mandla district, the water testing process is being made aware of the way of cleaning the water during the rainy season. The department is also providing water purification material to the community. In this connection, the promotional chariot has also visited many villages.
