Alcohol shops will not run arbitrary, Excise Department started a big and smart initiative in Shahdol district

Shadol

After complaints of arbitrary price collection at liquor shops, now the Excise Department has started a big and smart initiative in Shahdol district. Now the customers taking liquor will be able to scan the QR code and know the actual sales rate of their bottle, this will prevent the shopkeepers to collect more prices illegally.

Shopkeepers have a habit of hitting ‘opportunity’
QR codes are being installed at all indigenous and English liquor shops in Shahdol district. Customers will be able to scan this code from their mobile phone and easily see what is the fixed price of the brand concerned. Complaints were being received by contractors in the district for a long time. In many places, customers were paying more than 20 to 100 per bottle due to ignorance. With the QR code system, the habit of hitting the ‘opportunity’ of the shopkeepers will be controlled.
