The Mohan government has given a gift of salary hike to millions of employees of Madhya Pradesh. The salary of about one and a half lakh contractual officers and employees has been increased by 2.94 percent. Contract employees will get the benefit of salary hike from 1 April 2025.
This increase has been fixed at 2.94 percent on the report of the Consumer Price Index based on the circular of 22 July 2023 of the General Administration Department. That is, now every officer and employee will get an increased salary from 1 April 2025 to 2.96 percent from 1 April 2025. The Finance Department issued instructions for increment to all the collectors of the Department of the Department, Divisional Commissioner, Revenue Board President, all the collectors of all departments.
This increment, Ramesh Rathore, State President of Madhya Pradesh Contract Officer-Employees Federation, Ramesh Rathore says that the minimum salary of contractual officers and employees in the state ranges from 12 thousand to 65 thousand rupees per month.
The matter was brought to the notice of the government when he did not increase for two months. The increase in the last financial year 2024-25 was 3.78 percent. The contract class hoped that this time the government would increase by increasing by up to 4 percent, but it has not been done.

Earlier this increase was from two thousand to eight thousand. Therefore, there is a demand from the government that as earlier contractual employees used to get dearness allowance like regular employees, dearness allowance should be given.
Contract employees are not happy with salary hike
However, the Contract Officer-Employees Federation is not very happy with this decision. The minimum wage of the contracting officer and employee is from 12 thousand to 65 thousand rupees per month. In such a situation, they will get a salary increase of Rs 300 to Rs 1500, which is only a name. Earlier this increase was from two thousand to eight thousand.
