Raipur
During the meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog, an intimate moment came out, which caught everyone’s attention. At the time of lunch break, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while holding the hand of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, smiled and said that “Chhattisgarh is still left.” The Prime Minister’s affection, faith and special interest in the state were reflected in this one sentence. At that moment, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, present nearby. Chandrababu Naidu and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr. M.K. Stalin also smiled and witnessed this dialogue.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi appreciated the positive changes in the tribal areas of Chhattisgarh, industrial investment, and the concrete steps taken by the state government towards ‘self -sufficient Bastar’. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai told how Bastar is now becoming a symbol of the possibility, not the struggle – where the guns used to run, there are now machines, laptops and startups being discussed. From the establishment of the country’s first semiconductor unit and AI data center in Nawa Raipur to auction of Lithium Block – Chhattisgarh is now moving towards becoming a state full of resources and Chhattisgarh has a very important role in the development of the country.
This moment was not of any formal dialogue, but by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s efforts and appreciation of the efforts of Chief Minister Shri Sai for the development of Chhattisgarh. In the meeting of NITI Aayog, where states across the country presented their development models, the presentation of Chhattisgarh received special interest and appreciation of the Prime Minister. It is a clear indication that Chhattisgarh has now become a decisive role in the overall development of the country, not just an emerging state.
