The country’s first bullet railway station is ready, train will run from 2029…

Ahmedabad

India’s first bullet train project has now reached new heights. The 300 km long vialect for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project is almost complete, causing this project to come closer to its destination. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Gujarat State Transport Minister have recently shared information about this big achievement with photos and videos. The first station of this bullet train is built in Surat city of Gujarat.

300 km strong vialect ready for bullet train

The bullet train route from Mumbai to Ahmedabad will be about 500 km. So far, a 300 km long vialect has been prepared on this route. The vialect is a high bridge -like structure that helps the train pass over the road, rivers and other obstacles. Out of this 300 kilometers, 257.4 kilometers have been constructed with full span launching technology, which is a modern and fast method. This technique works 10 times faster than traditional methods. By this method the girder (long iron or pieces of concrete) is installed directly in its place. Each girder weighs about 970 tons. Due to this, the work is being completed rapidly.

Track bed laid in Gujarat

A track bed (surface under the railway track) has been laid for the train in about 157 km of Gujarat. This is a big indication that preparations are being made for the trial run of the train. It is expected that the trial run may begin in the next year i.e. 2026.

Train expected to start by 2029

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has told that the entire bullet train service will start by 2029. After this, the journey from Mumbai to Ahmedabad will be completed in only 2 to 3 hours, which is now taken for several hours. This will be a major revolution in the world of travel to India. The most important thing about this project is that the equipment and machinery for this are being made in India only. Heavy machines such as launching gantry, bridge gantry, and girder transporters are being manufactured in the country itself. This has also strengthened India’s self -reliance and technology. A total of more than 3 lakh noise barriers are being installed on both sides of the vialect of the bullet train. These barrier reduces the loud sound of the train so that the surrounding areas can live peacefully. Special depots are also being built for bullet trains in both Maharashtra and Gujarat where the train will be maintained and repaired. Apart from this, Shinkasane train coaches are expected to arrive from Japan. If all goes well, there is a plan to run a train between Surat to Bilimora by August 2026.

What is special full span launching technology?

Full span launching technique is a new method that can be installed extensively and rapidly to the bridge girder. This technique increases the speed of construction, which saves both time and cost. For the first time in India, this technology is being used so much.
